So Much to Be Thankful For!!!

I hope everyone has had a happy & blessed Thanksgiving! I know I have so many things to be thankful for but most of all I am thankful for a God that loves me in spite of who I am. He is God who is always there even when it doesn't seem like He is. His love for us is so amazing - it is truly indescribable!

On November 5, there was a challenge on Facebook to post something that you are thankful for each day. I went back and looked through the postings I had made and compiled them here. I think I was actually able to post something everyday from November 5 until last night. When we start writing down all the things that we are thankful for it makes us really take a step back and realize how blessed we truly are. My sister and I were talking tonight at dinner about how grateful we are for our families and our health. She was thinking back to 5 years ago when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer and I was thinking about Thanksgiving 10 years ago when my youngest son had leukemia. We were talking about how far we have come and how blessed we are. I have no idea why God chooses to bless me so immeasurably but I do know that I am so thankful that He does! So here is a list of my postings from the last 3 weeks. May God bless you --- Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever. Psalms 107:1

Pumpkin Decor - Altered Flower Pot

Last month Jeanette Lynton (founder & CEO of CTMH) posted the cutest pumpkin decoration made with B&T paper and a terracotta flower pot on her blog. Well, yesterday after our workshop we had some croppin' time and I decided to make one for myself! So here it is:
All you need is a 4" terracotta flower pot, one sheet of B&T paper (I used one of the Grace papers) cut into (24) 1/2" x 7" strips, glue dots and desired embellishements (mine has basic buttons, waxy flax, and ribbon).
I am using it as a candy dish now, but I think I may get some potpourri after the candy is gone!

GRACE - November Creative Class

I had a great time at the November Creative Class. We completed 4 pages using the Grace WOTG (you can get this kit by clicking here or by contacting me). I have added pictures of my nephew and his new wife (they got married last December when he came home from Japan --- he's in the Marines). I am planning on giving them these pages as a start for a scrapbook for their life! These pages were truly fast, simple, & easy -- the CTMH way --- yet they are so beautiful!

Prayer!

Right now our ladies Bible study group is doing a "Deeper Still" Bible study by Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer & Kay Arthur.  This study is about the life of David and is titled "Annointed, Transformed & Redeemed".  In this week's homework, Beth challenged us to pray scripture until we see a 'this far' moment in our families and own personal lives. (In 2 Samuel 7:18 David asks God "Who am I God, that you have brought me and my family this far?)

So I am beginning with this scripture prayer for me & my family from Prov 4:23-27:

I am praying for our hearts to be guarded and that we put away perversity from our mouths. I pray our gaze is on our Savior and that God makes our paths level and keps our feet from evil!!!
