Two Horses

I very dear friend of mine sent this to me today and I thought it was definitely worthy of sharing.  I hope you are blessed by it just as I was.  I pray you will pass it on to someone special in your life!

Two Horses
~~~Author Unknown~~~
Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.
From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse.
But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing....
Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind.
His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him.
This alone is amazing.
If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell.
Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.
Attached to the horse's halter is a small bell.
It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow.
As you stand and watch these two friends,
You'll see that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse,
And that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk
To where the other horse is,
Trusting that he will not be led astray.
When the horse with the bell returns
To the shelter of the barn each evening,
It stops occasionally and looks back,
Making sure that the blind friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.
Like the owners of these two horses,
God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect
Or because we have problems or challenges.
He watches over us and even brings others into our lives
To help us when we are in need..
Sometimes we are the blind horse
Being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives.
Other times we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way....
Good friends are like that...
You may not always see them, but you know they are always there.
Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours.
Using Triple Play Kit to Create a Layout!
The constant campaign for this month has been the Triple Play Mini Album kit. You can get one of these kits for just $5.  Well of course I took advantage of the campaign and got one for myself.  I created two of the mini-albums and one 2-page 12" x 12" layout with the Indian Corn Blue supplies.  I love how versatile these CTMH kits are!
Here is the Sunset Mini-Album!
And now the Indian Corn Blue Layout
Contact me if you are interested in getting one of these kits.  They are only available until September 30!
Let's Never Forget
In memory of September 11, 2001
 "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."‎ 2 Chronicles 7:14
As we take time today to remember 9/11 and show honor to all those that lost their lives, I pray for the families that were changed forever.  I also pray for America and I am so thankful that I am an American but more importantly, I am thankful that I am a Christian.  The following quote is what my 15 year old son has posted on his facebook today --- if we could all have this mind set we would be so much better!
Why do we bad mouth muslims? Why do we wish that they would all die? Have we not realized that Jesus Christ died for the whole world not just the U.S. Maybe if we spent all the time that we spend hating them on our knees in prayer for their salvation then our troops would not still be fighting. The only thing that is going to change the middle east is if they surrender their lives to Jesus Christ. (Jordan Massey)
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."  Matt. 5:44
WOW!  Out of the mouths of babes.  But it is so true --- why are we so quick to hate and so slow to get on our knees and pray?
Chalking on Black Cardstock
The other day my upline and good friend, Melissa, shared on her blog a chalking technique and I loved it.  So today I knew I had to try it.  It is so easy to do and the effects are stunning (or at least I think they are!) To get this effect I started with a piece of Black cardstock. Then using a cotton ball, I placed 3 different colors of coordinating chalk on the cardstock in a circular motion. Then I inked up the image with the Versamark ink pad and stamped the image on the cardstock. When removing the image, the stamp design is seen through the chalk and this is the results!
Thank you Melissa!!!!!
