Merry Christmas

As I sit here on Christmas morning, I stop and listen and hear silence. I realize that this is the last Christmas we will have a child at home on Christmas morning and he is still sleeping.  I think back over the last two years and am amazed at how much our lives have changed.  Last night I started to get a little down as I realized that this will be the last year for some of our traditions but then I stopped and thought about how very blessed I am!!!  As our children grow up, get married and start families of their own it is an opportunity to watch each of them start traditions of their own. What is even more exciting is knowing that all of our kids are Christians and that they understand & believe that the only reason we even celebrate Christmas is for the birth of our Savior.

As we reflect on the manger today, we must also look to the cross! The cross that Jesus died on is the real reason we celebrate.  It is the cross that gives us true hope — hope of redemption - hope of forgiveness, grace & mercy! We also need to look beyond the cross and see the empty tomb, for the empty tomb is what gives us hope for eternal life!

In all the excitement of family, friends, gifts, food, games and whatever else your traditions bring about today, I pray that each one of you know my Savior as your own Savior and that you have experienced His amazing grace & forgiveness.  If not, what better way to spend CHRISTmas than by choosing to follow Him?

Here is my gift to you -- watch and reflect on the gift of our Lord!!!!

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Irresistible Texture

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!

This month there are 8 of us highlighting the Irresistible Texture technique which features embossing folders!!!  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from Catherine's Blog, you are on the right track!

For my project I created a Christmas card that was inspired by someone on Pinterest (sorry I cannot remember who.)

The base was created using our Chevron embossing folder. Then the tree was made with our new white shimmer trim tape that I colored green with our ShinHan marker! I love these markers ---- now I can have any color of shimmer trim I want!!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Please continue onto Tina's Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique! Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation. Happy hopping!

CTMH Paper Focus Blog Hop -- Confetti Wishes

This month we are showcasing artwork made using our Confetti Wishes paper packet.  This hop is a circle so feel free to continue to move through the links provided in each post. If you get lost you can start back here or at Melissa's blog.

If you are here from Aggie's blog then you are on the right path.

Confetti Wishes is a very fun paper pack with a birthday theme. However, I have been wanting to scrap pictures of my grand babies summer photo session and when I saw the colors of this paper pack, I knew it was perfect!!! I love the bright colors combinations of Canary, Pacifica & Pear! I used the Pop of Color template from our Make it From Your Heart Volume 2 for my layout.

As you can see these colors are perfect for this photo shoot!!!

I used our brand new (just released in our Seasonal Expressions 1) White Shimmer Tape to give a border and some pop!!!! The title was cut using our Artbooking cartridge & our Artise cartridge.

I used our new White Enamel stars and a yellow ShinHan marker.  I love how we can make these stars any color we want with the ShinHan markers!

To continue with seeing more amazing projects using Confetti Wishes, hop on over to Judy Faye's blog!!!!

Contact me today if you are interested in more information about any of these products or you can visit my website to start shopping now!!! There are some great specials happening in December ---- details are on my website!
