Resisting Can Be Fun

Welcome to this month's CTMH Technique Blog Hop.  This month there are 13 of us participating by featuring creations that use the Resist technique. Resisting occurs when you use a medium of some kind (clear embossing ink, embossing powder, embossing pen)  that “resists” or blocks an area from receiving another medium.

If you are here from Michelle's Blog, you are on the right track.  If you get lost along the way, you can go to Melissa's Blog for a complete list of all the participants.

For my creation, I am featuring a layout that I created as part of a team training featuring our Kaleidoscope kit & Diamonds are Forever stamp set.

The resist here that is shown in the images below were created by using the sentiments form the "Diamonds are Forever" stamp set that were 'inked' with clear embossing ink. After stamping it on the paper, I covered it in clear embossing powder then used our craft heater to set the embossing powder. As a final step, I used our watercolor paints to color over the sentiment - but as you can see, the stamped image 'resisted' the paint!!!!

I can't wait to get some pictures from Easter printed to add to this layout! If you would like to order your own supplies so you can start resisting, contact me today or visit my website!

Now hop on over to Helen's Blog for another amazing Resist project!!!!

The Everything's ABC --- Letter H

H is for  Hopscotch!!!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter H. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their H element will be featured in their post.

If you are here from Darlys' Crafty Happy Blog then you are on the right track! If you get lost along the way, you can always find a full list of the participants at Catherine's CatScrapbooking Blog.

For my Letter H creation this month, I once again am using Studio J and this time I using the Hopscotch kit with to highlight my two precious grandchildren on Easter.  I love how the colors of this kit coordinate so well with their Easter outfits.

I love how Studio J is so simple, quick and easy to use.  It makes preserving my pictures a breeze --- I am going to miss SJ so much!!!!! :-(

If you have not tried Studio J --- we only have until the end of this month to get as many layouts completed as we can!!!

Now you can hop on over to Linda's Scrappy Therapy Blog for another H creation!

CTMH Paper Blog Hop - Regatta

Thank you for joining me and several Heartfelt Sentiments team members as we showcase artwork using Close To My Heart's paper packet, "Regatta".

This is such a fun and 'summery' paperpack and I know you will love what you see as you "hop" through these amazing blogs!!!!

If you are here from Melissa's Blog then you are on the right track.

This month I decided to make a birthday card using a piece of the sapphire wave B&T along with one of the PML cards that come with the paper pack.

The PML cards come as a sheet of paper and then all you have to do is cut them apart! The sentiment comes from the stamp set that is available in the Kaleidoscope workshop on the go kit. I also added some extra dimension by using some of the flower pieces found in the Regatta complements and added a strip of our white & gold ribbon.

Actually all of the Regatta supplies I used are available in our Workshop Your Way kit which also comes with instructions for creating layouts and cards!

Now hop on over to Katy's Blog for another fun Regatta creation!

You can order your own regatta supplies by visiting my website and any $50 or more order placed in my online gathering for April will earn you a FREE gift from me!
